Internship Program
Beta Alpha, in collaboration with Nissan North America located in Canton, MS, completed its first JPS Internship program. 11 graduating seniors from JPS high schools were enrolled in the internship.
BA Adopt-A-Highway
The brothers of Beta Alpha participated in it’s quarterly highway clean-up. 18 bags of trash were picked up along the chapter’s adopted portion of Ms Hwy 49 North.
BA Easter Basket
Beta Alpha Chapter held their annual Easter Basket Give-Away at the Bethlehem Center. The kids were overjoyed and excited about the gifts provided to them by the Brothers.
Teacher Appreciation Week at Johnson Elementary
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Beta Alpha held its annual teacher appreciation breakfast for the staff at its adopted school, Johnson Elementary. Brothers of Beta Alpha understand that educators hold one of the most important and influential jobs in the world. We want to continue to show our support to teachers as they work hard to educate and make positive impacts in the lives of their students. A world without teachers is a world deprived of learning. Thank you, teachers, for all you do!
Brother, You’re On My Mind
Beta Alpha wrapped up it’s Reclamation and Retention weekend at the Westin Downtown Jackson. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the brothers of Beta Alpha understand the importance of mental cleanliness. The chapter held a “Brother, You’re On My Mind”program. The purpose of the event is to continue educating our brothers about mental health disparities as well as to give the brothers a safe space to share and deal with their emotional concerns.
